Father’s Day weekend is rapidly approaching – which means dad-havers and dad-lovers alike are scrambling for the perfect present. You know that experiences breed more happiness than possessions, so consider a weekend taking in everything the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area has to offer.

Historic Fort Snelling Tours

Named a “national treasure” but the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Fort Snelling is a meaningful spot to celebrate Minnesotan heritage.

Established in 1883, the Minneapolis Institute of Art is a Twin Cities staple that invites you to indulge your artistic or reflective side – free of charge. Roam around the museum with Dad, and then take him to the sculpture garden.

Top of the weekend south of the river with musician (and notable father) Boz Scaggs. Of Steve Miller Band fame, Scaggs will play at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley on Sunday, June 19.
