Christopher Ingraham, a writer for The Washington Post, recently moved to Minnesota "in search of a better life."
The Land of 10,000 Lakes did not disappoint. Shortly after Ingraham's move, the Annie E. Casey Foundation corroborated his life choice with its 26th annual Kids Count report.
The data show that Minnesota is the best state for children based on the following factors:
- Children in poverty
- Educational attainment
- Single-parent families
- Low-birth-weight babies
- Kids without health insurance
- School test scores
- ...and more
Incumbent state Minnesota has topped the list since 2014.
